What is Botanix Labs?

Botanix Labs is a Bitcoin-focused company dedicated to creating decentralized sidechains. Our primary objective is to develop the Spiderchain, a sidechain scheme that utilizes a Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm. This innovation allows anyone to validate the Bitcoin sidechain.

Botanix Federation

The Botanix Federation represents the initial version of our sidechain framework, enabling a fixed group of signatories to manage funds on behalf of users. Botanix Labs, as a company, will establish its own federation in collaboration with 14 other members. However, anyone can create their own federation by following the provided documentation.

Who is this for?

This documentation is intended for developers interested in running their own RPC node. RPC nodes are non-block-producing entities within a federation. While they have access to the canonical blockchain, they do not produce blocks.

In addition, this documentation contains more information about the federation and some details that you need to run your own federation.
